I've added a couple of the first euteleosts, which now include most living species of marine fish. The otomorphs have also been expanded to give some more examples of the herring order, milkfish order, and otophysans, which include most living species of freshwater fish.

Planktopedia as a recognizable genus did not last very long. Pokorný et al. have another study dividing it further. I imagine the same will happen at some point to remaining Merismopedia, but I am leaving it for now in hopes that by then I will be able to at least add the families in their place.

Two updates: 1. For colour vision, a little bit more explanation for vertebrates including a colour diagram for humans, which I hope might make it a little bit easier to understand what the tables are showing. 2. For Cretaceous fish, a couple of the first otomorphs, though without much description. I'm hoping to add that as part of breaking them out into the different subgroups.

Starting out the Cretaceous fish with Elopomorpha up to the first eels. There are others that could be added but some of the relationships are confusing, and this seemed like a decent enough set to begin. I have also added Ancashichthys to the Late Jurassic, an early ellimichthyiform described this January.

It's not often I have been able to update the microlife pages. However Pokorný et al. (2026) have now divided Merismopedia, which were known to be more than one lineage. So here I have relabeled a couple images and added an entry for their new genus Planktopedia.
