It seems there is a trend of misinterpretation of what stoicism was intending to achieve. The original idea was to aim for emotional clarity, acceptance of reality and understanding of others. It's more the modern interpretation or distortion which is the problem. Tending towards the hyper individual and putting productivity ahead relationships with a sprinkle of problematic masculinity on top.
