okkkk so i've been working on the buttons the way me n shrimp talked about today and i thiiink this could work once i get certain stuff in js figured out! but i wanted to propose another idea that might be simpler: we simply contain all of the "home" content in one div, all the "about" content in one div, and all the "members" content in another, and contain all of these invisible divs in one master div (mainbox). ->
hmmm ok so. i was trying to figure out how to do css transformations so i could do the animations on the temple page The Proper Way. and i figured it out!!! which is awesome. but i did have 1 problem that i couldn't figure out how to solve: you'll see when you hover over the car image and the animation starts, it pushes the box to be longer because the transformation rotates the image and makes it take up more space.

sorry i accidentally pressed enter. that wouldn't be consistent across different systems (i generally try to stay away from positioning when i can for this reason). but i can't seem to find another way to make sure the image doesn't disrupt the dimensions of the div while also having it follow the other images. ideas would be appreciated -bobana

I'M DUMB AS ROCKS. i just realized i could fix this with an invisible container around the animations. false alarm!! might work on replacing the gifs with animations now. - bobana
then use js toggling so that when you click the buttons they toggle like this: showhome(), hideabout(), hidemembers(). and so on for the other buttons. i might copy the homepage and test this out real quick -bobana
