I have finally seen death note 2026! i have so far stream of consciousness listed my thoughts on my page but I'm definitely going to clean it up a lot more.
my favorite parts are that Light has what looks like a competition rubik speedcube on his bedside table. and that the wii tennis guys emote when they win.

pretty sure the "i have no sense of humor" line is from the japanese script. i did just watch it yesterday but it was without subtitles so i dont remember specifics. i was mostly there for 2025 japanese ryuk. he keeps biting everything.

FUN FACT: I somehow got L and Ryuk confused in my head for a moment (I think I read 'Ryuk' and my mind went 'Ryuzaki'), and I've only just realised you weren't saying that L kept biting everything. I just went 'yeah, I suppose he's a weird guy' and accepted it.

i am so jealous (stuck in a different country). im really glad to hear your insight though because it reminds me of my core value that no matter how many complaints dedicated fans (me) have about changes, the average theater enjoyer is just having a good time out there. its a fun show.

Nice!! I really enjoyed reading your thoughts (many of which align with mine), and I'm looking forward to seeing the cleaned-up version. (Why /doesn't/ Misa kill anybody??) At the second performance I saw, Ryuk spent a substantial amount of time trying to solve the Rubik's cube.
