The new mapper support in the latest Cyclone version seems to work just fine. However, I don't know if this is a change in your code or the regular GPGX code, but the sound emulation seems a bit iffy. The sound effects on Niutai's games in particular sound like they're possessed by demons for whatever reason. P.S. Like the new domain.

Adding to this, I wonder if it would be possible to add the option to toggle sound hacks that more closely mimic the Firecore units? Like making PCM samples always play at a specific rate, pitching the FM down 4 semitones, pitching the PSG down 7 semitones, possibly etc?

Just letting you know, the current .dll in your Genesis Plus GX Cyclone repo is broken, I think it didn't compile correctly.

Are you using a 32-bit RetroArch? The dll is 64-bit. If so I think I'll include both 32-bit and 64-bit builds in the repo

Hey, thanks for the shoutout! Yes, that's my reddit account; not sure why I didn't take alexparr though.

If it helps with figuring out where the header for those special "AtGames/Firecore only" games comes from, it definitely comes from (at least a prototype of) the homebrew game "Mighty Mighty Missile!" for the Genesis. I was able to confirm it by looking at the game's TCRF page: https://tcrf.net/Proto:Mighty_Mighty_Missile! Really, it's just the fact that "FVRING" is mentioned right there on the game's title screen.
I found another bug with your Genesis Plus GX fork. When you beat level 2 of Plumbing Contest, the game breaks.
