Thank you! :) I love the slantiness on your site. I've never seen that before.
I don't think it's possible to code one using entirely neocities because you need server side stuff going on. You can use something like google forms to handle that part of it and then make a script that displays in on your site (https://virtualobserver.moe/ayano/comment-widget does this) but you might have to be a supporter to do that??
^ you have to be a supporter to use that widget, UNLESS your site is past a certain age. which yours should be old enough! that's the one I use and it's been going fine so far :0)
@funnycadeserver I don't really know?? its an arbitrary cut off date rather than actually waiting for your site to reach a certain age irrc. I would just try it and see what happens!
Took me 30 mins to do, but after doing all the steps I cant submit a comment and even when i do it in google forms, the text below the comment submit part of the website always says "Loading comments...". Also, on that person's site (virtual observer) ppl were commenting about the sad neocities update and that this widget had a great run. so yeah. whompppp.
Nevermind; I came back to my site 2 days later and for me it works! Except idk how to fix the fact the comment widget is REALLY SKINNY and even changing it's padding and whatever in the styling file of it, still nothing worked. im not an expert really so idk lmao.
Nevermind again! I figured it out. I accidentally had it inside the biggest div on my website and then just put it out of the div. lol. anyways yeah, the comment widget works fine for me.
@dog-house & @odditycommoddity Thank you! I was able to set up comment widget in place of a guestbook.
big fan of your lists page. tip: if you use "overflow: auto" instead of "overflow: scroll" on your boxes, superfluous scrollbars will be hidden
Thank you! I'll add your button onto my links page next time I update. Write me and I'll write you back :)
