I agree with all of this, but I needn't opine on sanctimonious posturers or calculated, often government-sponsorted iconoclasts; Burgess, then Dalrymple tackled those topics far more exhaustively or cogently than I could.
Social media is largely a cesspit, but so much of it that isn't censorially misadministered into oblivion is still distinguishable by popular dissent from legacy news outlets. A lot of people are dedicated to verity in counterposting, even if only by dint of burner accounts.
I want to share your hopeful enthusiasm for mainstream AI prompting but the paranoid pessimist within tells me you'd much earlier see AI being culled to uselessness to cater to the lowest common denominator than a linguistic renaissance happening.
