Your site works well in the text only browser I found for Android called Violoncello

I support your mad quest for absolute backwards compatibility.

Thank you, I'll make sure to keep it up. That's a weird text only browser, though; it doesn't show image ALTs, so you can't access some stuff!

It's not that I don't like it, but I just set my criteria TTY-compatible. Personally, I have a mixed feeling about flash. I like its indie-ness, but it's proprietary anyway and I always had hated the flash player on the JOQR (A seiyuu radio station) website. It's all HTML5 now though.

Sorry, I accidentally removed your comment (it wouldn't have happened without JS!), but thank you for the feedback. As for Flash, it's an optional part of my site, used just for fun, but I respect that you don't like it.

Hey! You use Links as your main browser, right? There isn't much to my site, but do you (by your standards) think it displays well enough in Links?

Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer... those names just teem with romance, don't you think? What's the most popular browser now? "Google" "Chrome". A meaningless word and a boring metal. Implied is no more exploring, no more adventure. No wonder things are like they are!

My mad quest towards ABSOLUTE backwards compatibility continues: old browsers that can't render PNGs are now served GIFs instead (in progress). Don't you worry, I'll write about this someday

My compatibility intends to go as far as terminal browsers + the OG DS (altho the DSi/OG DS can already load my website if it werent for forced-HTTPS, I just will have to announce support whenever I can self-host bc the day I host myself is the day i dont require HTTPS anymore)

Oh, so that's why your site looks like that. Do you have a picture of how it renders on a DS?

@dc-blog i dont believe I do sadly, tho if I can find one I will try to find it (my current layout is similar to the old one, just blue instead of gray, and the gray one i think i have an archive of somewhere on DS)

do you reckon time travelers from the past would bring their 486s with them?

The heirs of the Cidoku fortune will wage eternal war to the heirs of the capstasher fortune for generations over Sealand claims. War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of sea battles, fought by Neocities mercenaries and vintage computers. War--and it's consumption of life--has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed.
