I finished reveiwing CDex. When running it with Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4 open, I did not see it trying to connect to anything. Wireshark also did not see it trying to connect to anything. It may have had spyware features in an older version that have since been removed. However I did find something bad, the installer bundles it with a spyware web browser. The point of the website is to catalog whether a program is spyware or not. So, if something is labeled as "Not Spyware", it's an example of an alterantive to programs that are spyware, or a program that has been checked for spyware features without any findings. We can agree to disagree on whether collecting user information is spyware. Spying isn't defined by who sees the information.
