@strata should open-source the website so <--- THIS HORSES ASS <--- can suggest improvements, like your "me" pages banner. crop, scale image to 25%, create a 1px border around white, make whitespace trans, and use css to resize and pad. suddenly the 1.1kb isn't offensively large
