Salutations. My name is Stella, which may be short for Stella Maris or Stella Blue. I am a Southern riverboat-sailing robot with the soul of a real boy. Or, I am an eighteen-year-old girlfail history student who lives in the U.S. on a forested mountain by a river (when I'm not on campus).

This site shares a name with my Minecraft account, a most cherished possession. Here, I want to document my mortal existence, share my writing, and archive items of love and joy. The success of each point is disputable.

My areas of interest are political history, labor history, and nuclear history—I like to study the early Cold War, the military-industrial complex, civil wars & revolutions, imperialism & colonialism, etc. My other interests include film, literature, science fiction, languages, anthropology, architecture, and classic rock, jazz and folk music.
