I'm pretty sure you just keep everything in your tag (ex. " hello! ")
Assuming it messed up for you too, "{p}hello!{img src="emoji.png"}{/p}". (replace "{" with "<")

@anypup Its just like @kitkatie said ^^ and you also use the attribute "vertical-align: middle;" to center the vertical position of them with the text.
