[out-of-character-posting-time] It's been a while since we've updated. In that time, a lot has happened in the world of modern baseball, from the groundbreaking Astros cheating scandal to the annually important Hall-of-Fame voting. A lot has happened with The Playhouse teams as well, Joe Maddon has been replaced by David Ross as Cubs manager; the White Sox are revamping.

Even the domains of our columnists have had a lot of relevant moments. Our Fascisionsita would have a lot to say about the Brewers and Padres' new looks, and of course the new look of the Playhouse's own Texas Rangers. We have not updated about any of this due to personal affairs in the lives of our writers (for you canon enthusiasts, assume that CC Sabathia got kidnapped in Bolivia or something).
Not only has it been hard to return to the site due to our personal affairs, it's been hard figuring our how to make our return when SO MUCH has happened to baseball and we've missed out on all of it.
We're coming to terms with the fact that our workload of covering four MLB teams, the entire life of Sammy Sosa, and the broader baseball world from five different comedic lenses, is simply too much when our day-jobs and real lives keep preventing us from meeting our quotas. Everyone agrees The Playhouse needs to come back and that changes have to be made in order to make it so, but identifying those changes is hard.
One of the changes we're looking at is completely cutting coverage of The Playhouse teams.
We love our characters we use and would want to reincorporate them in another place on the site, and we wouldn't get rid of them without a storyline explaining it, but we feel that if the site cannnot produce content as consistently and constantly as we did in 2017/early 2018, we should insure the content we do produce is related to Sammy Sosa and 1990s baseball.
