Sure I'll give you a fun fact :) the North/Polar star is in fact not just one star but three! One of which is a cepheid star (a cepheid star is a star that often changes luminosity), which is why it shines so brightly. But contrary to popular belief, it's not the brightest star - it's only 48th in the ranking :) and its Latin name is Polaris or Alpha Ursae Minoris, because it's part of the Little Dipper

Polaris is the tip of the tail in the Little Dipper, so it's easy to spot. ^__^

aaaa merci ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ un jour je voudrais habiter en france. not for a long time, maybe a year or so, so I gotta learn! I took 5 years in school but forgot a lot of it :/ so now I still understand a lot, but don't speak as much. very frustrating

so cool that three stars are hiding there! it's a sweet thought :) they're all star friends so they won't get lonely, they live each other so much that they're mistaken for one... I live in a place where I can't see the stars very well because of light pollution, so the dippers are normally the only ones I can see

*love each other & also, if it's only the 48th brightest, what's the actual brightest star? & do you have a favorite star or constellation?

You'll be very welcome in France!!! Haha this question always makes me laugh. Everybody knows which is the brightest star :) it's the Sun, but nobody thinks about it. But the brightest star that isn't the Sun is Sirius :) yes, I have a favorite star! It's a supernova called Cassiopeia A. And my favorite constellations are Cassiopeia and Cetus (the whale) ^___^

nuange 3 months ago

I love Cassiopeia because in spring it's shaped like an M, like my girlfriend's initial. <3

un jour, je voudrais voir Perseus & Pegasus bc they're the lyrics to my favorite song: Signs and wonders: Perseus aligned with the skull Slain Medusa, Pegasus alight from us all, so I've always wanted to see that constellation since then :)

also! I didn't even think of the sun, lol. when people talk about stars, the sun is so special to us that its almost like it's a thing of it's own. I didn't even think about it as a star, just the Sun
