Welcome to Minefactory! This is a vanilla survival Java Minecraft server made to give my friends and mutuals a quick and casual gaming environment to hang out in and enjoy!
This is a whitelisted server, meaning your Minecraft username must be added to the whitelist before you can access the server. Contact me through Twitter, Discord, etc. If you do not know who "me" is or how to contact me, that probably means this server isn't for you. Sorry!

Rules
- Be nice.
- Respect other’s creations and possessions. Don’t grief or steal.
- Keep the chat free of gossip and drama.
- Client-side mods that add some basic functionality or graphics optimizations, such as mini maps or optifine, are totally okay! But please don’t use anything that would count as a “cheat” mod such as x-rays. It’s a casual server there’s not point anyways.
- Try not to break loot chests! There's supposed to be a feature that regenerates the loot per-player, but I haven't been able to thoroughly test this yet and it likely doesn't work on chests too close to spawn due to these chunks already being generated by the time I found out about the feature.
Getting Started
Survival
When you first join, you should spawn in the public spawn house. Anything here is free to use, included items in chests. This location can be teleported to at any time using the /spawn
command.
Once you’re ready to head off into the world and build something for yourself, either find an empty spot nearby, or if you’d like to travel further out, you can use the /tpr
command to teleport you to a random location.
Once you’ve found a place to settle, you can use the /sethome
command which will set that location as your new spawn point and allow you to use the /home
command to easily teleport back to your home in case you get lost, are in danger, or just don’t want to walk there. Multiple homes can also be set by using /sethome [name]
. A home can be deleted with the /delhome command
.
There is also a basic job and economy system in place. You can earn money by selecting up to three jobs with the /jobs browse
command and you can check your balance with /balance
. The jobs are just meant to be a way to passively earn money for doing basic in-game activities, such as mining ores and farming, that you’d be doing just by playing normally, and hopefully will not make the game feel like an actual job. Pick whichever jobs suit your playstyle and earn some extra cash and experience points just for playing like normal!
Creative
You might have noticed a sign outside of the spawn house that reads “[warp] creative”. Right clicking this sign will teleport you to the Creative mode world. You can also travel to this world using the /creative
command. Here you can claim a plot using either the /plot claim command
when standing in an unclaimed plot, or the /plot auto
command to instantly claim and be teleported to the nearest unclaimed plot.
Additional plots can be claimed for $100 and merged with other adjacent plots you own by using the /plot merge
command.
Other Features
Discord
Use the /discord
command to get an invite link to the Discord server. This Discord server is connected to the Minecraft server, and will allow you to participate in the in-game chat even while you're not playing.
Trading Cards
A simple collectible system. These drop from killing mobs, more commonly for hostile mobs and rarely from passive mobs. Use the /deck 1
command to get a deck item to store cards in. You can get more deck items by changing the command to /deck 2
, /deck 3
and so on.
If you would like to disable this feature, use the /cards toggle
command.
Nicknames
You can set a nickname using the command /nick [name]
. You can also set a color code in front of your name to change the color. For example /nick &cAcy
would change my name to "Acy" and the color to red.
If you just want to change the color of your name without using a nickname, use the command with the color code in front of your username. For example /nick &cAcyFactory
If you want to remove your nickname, use the /nick off
command.
Color code | Color |
&0 | black |
&1 | dark blue |
&2 | dark green |
&3 | dark aqua |
&4 | dark red |
&5 | dark purple |
&6 | gold |
&7 | gray |
&8 | dark gray |
&9 | blue |
&a | green |
&b | aqua |
&c | red |
&d | light purple |
&e | yellow |
&f | white |
Custom Heads
Use the /skulls
command to access a database of player heads with custom textures that can be used as decoration. Each one costs $100.
MyPet
MyPet is an alternate pet system that allows you to tame any mob and level them up to gain skills. For example, Mort here is on the utility skilltree, which gives him his own inventory that can be used to help carry extra items when exploring.
To tame a pet as a MyPet, left-click them with a lead. Tamed animals will be tamed again instantly, whereas non-tamable mobs will be tamed when at low health.
Only one MyPet may be active at a time. You can store and switch out your pets using the /petstore
and /petswitch
commands.
MyPets may not perform certain vanilla behaviors as expected, such as flying mobs not being able to fly once tamed.
MyPets will respawn when killed, so you can bring them to dangerous places worry-free!
