what's roblox?

roblox is an free online social space, mostly for kids, where you can build custom worlds. i've built one and it's a wild place and we're gonna hang out in it.

how do i join the party?

there is also a discord for voice chatting and playing music; that invite link is here. feel free to join in advance or day-of (or not at all, discord and voice chat are not required for this party - you can just come as an avatar too). if you're not familiar with discord, it's like slack for gamers. it is free and runs in the browser, or as an app on your phone or computer.

what will we .. do?

just hang out in a weird space, chat, explore, and listen to music. there's also horses you can ride.

• it's my birthday and i'm not gonna tolerate hateful vibes of any kind, especially about lived experience and iidentity.
  
• please be mindful of the space your body takes up, even virtually.
  
• please ask before you screenshot someone, especially if they are saying something, their handle is visible, or if you plan to post it and tag them.
  
• if somebody asks you to stop something, no matter what it is, stop no questions asked.
  
• roblox is a kid's site, and although i doubt we'll get random visitors through, please try to keep it more or less kid friendly.
  
• if someone is not holding to any of this, let me know - i can ban IP addresses and will not hesitate to do so. 👼

can i bring a friend?

just like a real house party, you can invite a couple of friends! even if i don't know them! i'd love to host folks in my space and meet new people, and it's always nice to have a buddy. but please trust them, make sure they understand the code of conduct and that they feel safe and comfortable, and know that if something comes up it'll be on you to deal with things first.
